The final day of our “Baseball and BBQ” journey took us to Denver and Coors Field, where the Rockies battled the Marlins. From our vantage point in the first row of the upper deck, down the right-field foul line, we were treated to an epic sunset over the Rocky Mountains as well as a pretty tight ballgame.
Denver isn’t exactly known for barbecue, but we did find a spot that came highly regarded downtown in Boney’s Smokehouse, and we sampled spare ribs and brisket from there. The eating sure has been good this week, but a few days of detox (and some time at the gym) might be in order the rest of the week.
Home awaits tomorrow — stay tuned for full Itineraries of the ballparks we visited in the coming weeks.
