The second leg of our NHL tour of western Canada, following our first stop in Vancouver, took Mrs. Fan and I to Calgary, where we got to see the Flames take on the Stars at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

As its name might suggest, the Saddledome is one of the more interesting venues in North American pro sports, what with its potato chip-shaped roof and all. Watching a game there is also quite interesting, as we found out. More details to come, of course, in a future Itinerary.
From here, it’s on to Edmonton to see the Oilers take on, yes, the Stars. We’ll know plenty about Dallas before we head back Stateside.
