Baseball and BBQ, Day 1

Here are some highlights from the first day of our current three-city baseball swing, as we followed Cardinals fans throughout St. Louis.

We had a great time at Busch Stadium (top photo), where the Cards edged the Padres 3-2, and fans were given a mini Stan Musial statue (middle left). Beforehand, we stopped to marvel at the Gateway Arch (middle right). And through it all, we sampled two eateries Cards fans seem to swear by, at least judging by how many of them we saw there: Pappy’s Smokehouse (bottom left) and Ted Drewes Frozen Custard (bottom center and right).

We’re moving on to Kansas City tomorrow! Watch out for more on our baseball-and-BBQ tour here, on Twitter (@itinerantfan) and on Instagram (@itinerantfan).
