Baseball in the District

Very happy to have had the chance to check out Nationals Park for the first time (and for me personally, one of three current MLB parks I hadn’t yet visited. Only Globe Life Park and Marlins Park remain on my list).

Before I headed out, I had heard from a couple friends who had been there that Nats Park was ho-hum as ballparks go. That may be true, but I thought they did a good job with the party atmosphere, especially for a Saturday night. A stroll through the outfield concourse is definitely worthwhile. I was pretty disappointed, though, with the inability to see the Capitol from my seat along the first-base line, but I guess that’s the price of development (of which there is a LOT around the park).

We’re not done watching sports on our quick D.C. jaunt. On Monday, FedEx Field and the Redskins await.
