Well, this picture says it all. This isn’t a post about attending a game or anything — just a personal note about feeling the ultimate gratification of a sports fan. Being one can deliver all sorts of feelings, including terrifying anxiety and spectacular heartbreak, but when your team wins, well, the feeling can be indescribable.
Yup, the Los Angeles Kings are Stanley Cup champions. For the second time in three years. After an incredible playoff run that included seven games in which they faced elimination and three Game 7s. They are the first team I ever truly loved. And today, ultimate gratification feels pretty damn good.
