On the MLB road again, Part 2
The second leg of our three-city MLB road trip took us to Turner Field in Atlanta, home of the Atlanta Braves*:
The asterisk at the end of the previous sentence, of course, is because the Braves intend to leave Turner Field in a few years for a stadium out in the Atlanta suburbs. Until that happens, though, Turner Field is a perfectly serviceable facility with its own charms, including a terrific view of the downtown Atlanta skyline from beyond left field.
The fans were into it on a Friday fireworks night, though the Braves didn’t give them that much to cheer about in a loss to the Padres. For us, though, it was a terrific time. Now off to Tampa/St. Pete and Rays-Red Sox at Tropicana Field on Sunday afternoon!
