A visit to the new Garden

It sure has been snowy in Boston lately, but the piles of snow on the streets nor the frigid temps could stop us from visiting TD Garden for some basketball.

From last night: Got a chance to see Celtics-Sixers in Boston.

And yes, neither the Celtics nor the Sixers are doing so hot this season, but it was still an opportunity to see the “new” Garden that we couldn’t pass up. TD Garden has been around for almost 20 years now, replacing the old Boston Garden that stood in nearly the same spot, but it remains a nice venue for a fan base that’s as fervent as any you’ll see in sports.

On this night, the fan base, still on a high after its football team’s championship the previous week, got to see the Celtics start off hot on its way to a fairly easy victory. And yes, it was nice to get out of the chill for an evening.
