2025 NFL schedule: How to see multiple games on one road trip this season

The inside of Mercedes-Benz Stadium during an Atlanta Falcons game

The 2025 NFL schedule is here! And since its release earlier this month, we’ve been scouring the slate for opportunities to see multiple games in one weekend.

Of the four major sports leagues, the NFL is the hardest in which to complete a stadium circuit due to the fact it has so few games each season relative to its peers. However, its relatively rigid schedule structure makes it very much possible to plan out multi-city road trips.

Of course, the easiest way to do that while saving time (and, thus, money) is to rely on the Sunday-Monday schedule, or Thursday-Sunday if you have more time on your hands.

So as we do every year, we’re going through the 2025 NFL schedule to pinpoint those chances to see multiple games in a week. We impose one limitation on these itineraries: They have to involve cities that are within a reasonable one-day driving distance of each other (maximum of 500 miles).

Here’s why: Of course you can go to just about any game you want on Sunday and then fly to the Monday-night home city, for example. But convenience is often a major factor in fans going on road trips to begin with, and limiting travel distance helps save time and money.

Whether you’re looking to check stadiums off your list or you just want travel to check out some of the best NFL games live, I hope this schedule breakdown will inspire you to hit the road in 2025! Keep reading to see all of our NFL itinerary ideas.

One disclaimer: Keep in mind that the NFL has the ability to flex games in and out of the Thursday and Monday slots, and thus can wreck one of these itineraries by doing so. The league has said it would keep those types of schedule changes to a minimum and would announce it at least a few weeks in advance.

However, it’s much more likely that such a change happens later in the season, so a road trip that occurs before November — while not foolproof — can at least be planned with more confidence.

Week 1: Season-opening blockbuster

Thursday, Sept. 4: Cowboys at Eagles, 8:20 p.m. ET
Sunday, Sept. 7: Steelers at Jets, 1 p.m. ET

Want to get an NFL road trip going right away? Then make plans to be in Philadelphia on opening night, when the Eagles will be celebrating their Super Bowl title at Lincoln Financial Field with a battle against the hated Cowboys. After that, make your way up to the New York City area for an expected showdown between Aaron Rodgers and the Jets at MetLife Stadium (assuming Rodgers does eventually sign with the Steelers).

Distance between stadiums: 95 miles

Week 2: Tremendous trio of options!

Thursday, Sept. 11: Commanders at Packers, 8:15 p.m. ET
Sunday, Sept. 14: Falcons at Vikings, 5:20 p.m. ET

OR

Sunday, Sept. 14: Giants at Cowboys, 1 p.m. ET
Monday, Sept. 15: Buccaneers at Texans, 7 p.m. ET

OR

Sunday, Sept. 14: Panthers at Cardinals, 4:05 p.m. ET
Monday, Sept. 15: Chargers at Raiders, 10 p.m. ET

Week 2 of the season brings THREE potential options for an NFL double-dip.

In the Midwest, pay a Thursday-night visit to Lambeau Field for a clash between two playoff teams from last season in the Commanders and Packers, then cross over into Minnesota to see the Falcons and Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Or you can see both NFL stadiums in the Lone Star State in one shot: Spend Sunday at AT&T Stadium watching the Cowboys in a divisional battle, then work your way to Houston to see the Texans host the Bucs at NRG Stadium.

Finally, consider this Western swing with a stop at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium on Sunday, followed by a Monday-night tussle between the AFC West rival Chargers and Raiders at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.

Distance between stadiums: 277 miles (GB to MIN); 265 miles (DAL to HOU); 285 miles (ARI to LV)

Week 3: Lake Erie or Beltway?

Thursday, Sept. 18: Dolphins at Bills, 8:15 pm. ET
Sunday, Sept. 21: Packers at Browns, 1 p.m. ET

OR

Sunday, Sept. 21: Raiders at Commanders, 1 p.m. ET
Monday, Sept. 22: Lions at Ravens, 8:15 p.m. ET

The 2025 NFL schedule is bountiful in its double opportunities, at least early in the season, as Week 3 brings two more options.

The Thursday-nighter is Dolphins-Bills at Highmark Stadium, which is in its last season before the Bills move into a new facility next door. After a couple off days along the lake, get to Cleveland for Sunday’s matchup between the Packers and Browns at Huntington Bank Field.

If you don’t like that pair of games, how about a Beltway weekend? Catch the Commanders hosting the Raiders at Northwest Stadium on Sunday before seeing the Ravens and Lions the next night at M&T Bank Stadium.

Distance between stadiums: 182 miles (BUF to CLE); 33 miles (WAS to BAL)

Week 4: East Coast or West Coast?

Thursday, Sept. 25: Seahawks at Cardinals, 8:15 p.m. ET
Sunday, Sept. 28: Colts at Rams, 4:05 p.m. ET

OR

Sunday, Sept. 28: Eagles at Buccaneers, 1 p.m. ET
Monday, Sept. 29: Jets at Dolphins, 7:15 p.m. ET

Multiple options just keep presenting themselves in the 2025 NFL schedule! You can see two games on either side of the country in Week 4.

On the West Coast, kick off the weekend with Seahawks-Cardinals on Thursday at State Farm Stadium, followed by Colts-Rams on Sunday at SoFi Stadium. Or, check out this all-Florida double-dip: Eagles vs. Buccaneers on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium, then Jets vs. Dolphins on Monday night at Hard Rock Stadium.

Distance between stadiums: 378 miles (ARI to LAR); 271 miles (TB to MIA)

Week 5: L.A. to Arizona, again

Thursday, Oct. 2: 49ers at Rams, 8:15 p.m. ET
Sunday, Oct. 5: Titans at Cardinals, 4:05 p.m. ET

NFL fans can wear out the I-10 route between L.A. and Phoenix in 2025, as the schedule presents several opportunities. In Week 5, it’s a Thursday-Sunday tandem, with the Rams hosting the 49ers at SoFi Stadium and the Cardinals taking on Cam Ward and the Titans at State Farm Stadium.

(Note: You could also cut out the travel in between games and see two games at SoFi Stadium in one weekend, as the Chargers are hosting the Commanders on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.)

Distance between stadiums: 378 miles

Week 6: Two East Coast options

Sunday, Oct. 12: Rams at Ravens, 1 p.m. ET
Monday, Oct. 13: Bears at Commanders, 8:15 p.m. ET

OR

Sunday, Oct. 12: Seahawks at Jaguars, 1 p.m. ET
Monday, Oct. 13: Bills at Falcons, 7:15 p.m. ET

The Beltway double that presented itself in Week 3 is back again, with the Ravens hosting the Rams at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday and the Commanders welcoming the Bears to Northwest Stadium on Monday. (Chicago fans would surely like to forget what happened when these two teams met last season.)

Or, you can try this Southern NFL jaunt that begins in Jacksonville, where the Jaguars take on the Seahawks on Sunday at EverBank Stadium. Then head to Atlanta to see the Falcons and Bills at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Distance between stadiums: 32 miles (BAL to WAS); 347 miles (JAX to ATL)

Week 7: A Midwest TRIPLEheader

Thursday, Oct. 16: Steelers at Bengals, 8:15 p.m. ET
Sunday, Oct. 19: Dolphins at Browns, 1 p.m. ET
Monday, Oct. 20: Buccaneers at Lions, 7 p.m. ET

It’s always fun to find opportunities to go to THREE games in one weekend on the NFL schedule, and in 2025 there’s a prime chance in Week 7.

It begins on Thursday night with the Bengals hosting the Steelers at Paycor Stadium. Then you can spend a couple free days in Ohio before checking out the Browns and Dolphins at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday. Finally, head to Detroit to see the Lions taking on the Buccaneers at Ford Field on Monday.

(Note: Don’t want to go to Cleveland? You can swap that game out for Saints vs. Bears at Soldier Field, Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. The distances between cities will be a little farther in that case, though.)

Distance between stadiums: 271 miles (CIN to CLE); 171 miles (CLE to DET)

Week 9: Texas two-step, Part 2

Sunday, Nov. 2: Broncos at Texans, 1 p.m. ET
Monday, Nov. 3: Cardinals at Cowboys, 8:15 p.m. ET

Here’s another opportunity to see both Texas NFL stadiums on one trip, starting on Sunday at Houston’s NRG Stadium. After a quick trip north (stop for some BBQ along the way!), check out the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium for a Monday night tilt.

Distance between stadiums: 266 miles

Week 10: Lake Michigan road trip

Sunday, Nov. 9: Giants at Bears, 1 p.m. ET
Monday, Nov. 10: Eagles at Packers, 8:15 p.m. ET

Want to see the home turfs of two of the NFL’s fiercest rivals in one shot? Then check out this trip that features a visit to Chicago’s Soldier Field on Sunday, followed by Green Bay’s Lambeau Field on Monday night. With fall in full swing by this point in the season, be sure to bring a sturdy coat!

Distance between stadiums: 210 miles

Week 11: Which coast is best, again?

Thursday, Nov. 13: Jets at Patriots, 8:15 p.m. ET
Sunday, Nov. 16: Packers at Giants, 1 p.m. ET

OR

Sunday, Nov. 16: Seahawks at Rams, 4:05 p.m. ET
Monday, Nov. 17: Cowboys at Raiders, 8:15 p.m. ET

We’re loving that the 2025 NFL schedule is presenting so many options for road trips, with two more choices in Week 11.

Want to visit the East Coast? Then do this Thursday-Sunday jaunt with visits to New England’s Gillette Stadium on Thursday and the New York Giants’ MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

Rather head out west? Then consider seeing the Rams at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, then heading up I-15 to Vegas for Cowboys-Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Monday night.

Distance between stadiums: 210 miles (NE to NYG); 278 miles (LAR to LV)

Week 12: Pick your in-state doubleheader

Thursday, Nov. 20: Bills at Texans, 8:15 p.m. ET
Sunday, Nov. 23: Eagles at Cowboys, 4:25 p.m. ET

OR

Sunday, Nov. 23: Buccaneers at Rams, 8:20 p.m. ET
Monday, Nov. 24: Panthers at 49ers, 8:15 p.m. ET

Once again, a chance to see both Texas NFL stadiums presents itself in Week 12, with the Texans playing at NRG Stadium on Sunday and the Cowboys hosting a massive NFC East showdown with the Eagles at AT&T Stadium on Monday.

But you can also see both California NFL stadiums in Week 12, with the Rams home at SoFi Stadium on Sunday and the 49ers playing at Levi’s Stadium on Monday. Whichever you choose, it’s a good chance to check off two stadiums in one go.

Distance between stadiums: 266 miles (HOU to DAL); 352 miles (LAR to SF)

Week 13: Thanksgiving QUADRUPLEheader

Thursday, Nov. 27: Bengals at Ravens, 8:20 p.m. ET
Friday, Nov. 28: Bears at Eagles, 3 p.m. ET
Sunday, Nov. 30: Falcons at Jets, 1 p.m. ET
Monday, Dec. 1: Giants at Patriots, 8:15 p.m. ET

The NFL’s continuing domination of Thanksgiving weekend, plus some fortuitous schedule luck in 2025, means that for the first time since we started looking for these itineraries, we’ve spotted an incredible opportunity to see four different stadiums in just five days!

It starts on Thanksgiving night in Baltimore, with the Ravens taking on the Lions at M&T Bank Stadium. From there, it’s a very manageable trip up the East Coast, with a Black Friday game at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field between the Eagles and Bears, a Sunday Falcons-Jets contest at MetLife Stadium, and finally Giants-Patriots on Monday night at Gillette Stadium. Whew!

Distance between stadiums: 99 miles (BAL to PHI); 96 miles (PHI to NYJ); 210 miles (NYJ to NE)

Week 14: Options aplenty again!

Thursday, Dec. 4: Cowboys at Lions, 8:15 p.m. ET
Sunday, Dec. 7: Titans at Browns, 1 p.m. ET

OR

Sunday, Dec. 7: Broncos at Raiders, 4:05 p.m. ET
Monday, Dec: 8: Eagles at Chargers, 8:15 p.m. ET

Here are two options for a December football road trip. One is in the Midwest, with stops at Ford Field in Detroit for a Thursday-nighter, followed by Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland on Sunday.

Also, another chance for a Vegas-L.A. double presents itself with Broncos vs. Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, then Eagles vs. Chargers at SoFi Stadium on Monday night.

Distance between stadiums: 172 miles (DET to CLE); 276 miles (LV to LAC)

Week 15: South or Midwest?

Thursday, Dec. 11: Falcons at Buccaneers, 8:15 p.m. ET
Sunday, Dec. 14: Jets at Jaguars, 1 p.m. ET

OR

Sunday, Dec. 14: Ravens at Bengals, 1 p.m. ET
Monday, Dec. 15: Dolphins at Steelers, 8:15 p.m. ET

Would you rather be someplace warm in December, or do you want to watch football in the crisp fall air? You’ve got choices yet again for an NFL road trip in Week 15.

You could knock off two Florida stadiums in one trip by visiting Raymond James Stadium for Falcons-Bucs on Thursday, followed by Jets-Jaguars at EverBank Stadium on Sunday. Or, tour the AFC North with a Sunday visit to Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati on Sunday, then Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on Monday.

Distance between stadiums: 201 miles (TB to JAX); 289 miles (CIN to PIT)

Week 16: Pre-Christmas tripleheader

Saturday, Dec. 20: Packers at Bears, time TBD
Sunday, Dec. 21: Steelers at Lions, 4:25 p.m. ET
Monday, Dec. 22: 49ers at Colts, 8:15 p.m. ET

Get ready for the holidays with this trip to three different NFL stadiums in three days! Start with the classic Packers-Bears rivalry at Soldier Field in Chicago on Saturday, then head to Detroit for Steelers-Lions at Ford Field on Sunday, then finally catch the 49ers-Colts MNF tilt at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium. No, it’s not exactly a linear route, but hey, it’s worth it to catch so much football.

(Note: Three games in three days a little too much? Then consider another Beltway double, with Eagles vs. Commanders at Northwest Stadium on Saturday, time TBD, followed by Patriots-Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.)

Distance between stadiums: 282 miles (CHI to DET); 288 miles (DET to IND)

Week 17: One last tripleheader opportunity

Thursday, Dec. 25: Cowboys at Commanders, 1 p.m. ET
Saturday, Dec. 27 OR Sunday, Dec. 28: Seahawks at Panthers, TBD
Monday, Dec. 29: Rams at Falcons, 8:15 p.m. ET

The NFL’s Christmas Day schedule is a good jumping-off point for our final road trip idea of the 2025 regular season — and it’s a tripleheader to boot.

Be there when the Commanders host the Cowboys on Christmas Day at Northwest Stadium, then head south to Charlotte. The Panthers and Seahawks will face off at Bank of America Stadium on either Saturday or Sunday (remember, the NFL reserves to right to flex three games on this week’s schedule to Saturday, and this one is one of the candidates). Finish this trip off in Atlanta with Rams-Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Distance between stadiums: 412 miles (WAS to CAR); 242 miles (CAR to ATL)
