One of the great things about working on Itinerant Fan is that I frequently get in contact with other creators in the sports travel space. That includes Peterjon Creswell, who operates the Libero Guide website.
Libero strives to be a comprehensive guide for football (or soccer for us Statesiders) travelers. While a large focus of Peterjon’s work is on European stadiums and experiences, there’s also a focus on American soccer and other leagues around the world.
Peterjon and I came into contact as he was researching for his guides for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. Later, he graciously agreed to profile me and my work with Itinerant Fan for his audience.
We spent much of our conversation discussing my pursuit of Club 124 — attending a game at every stadium across the four major American sports leagues. It’s a quest that I spent more than 20 years actively pursuing and finally finished in November 2025.
The pursuit is very similar to that of European football fans endeavoring to see games across the continent, or at least in a specific league or country. In England, for example, there’s “Doing the 92” — seeing every association football ground in the country.
As I’ve expanded my stadium guide coverage to include more European grounds such as the Parc des Princes and San Siro, which I added earlier this year, I’m grateful to meet fellow creators like Peterjon who are passionate about helping fellow fans fill their sports travel ambitions.
We discussed not only those like-minded sports travel pursuits but also the upcoming World Cup, as well as the future of sports travel and stadium experiences.
